I needed a simple clock in my wood shop. I cut up an old box, printed and cut out some numbers, glued the numbers on the cardboard then added a quartz movement and some hands that I already had and now I know when to leave the shop. This cardboard clock has been working in the shop for years - outlasted several AA batteries so far.
